51Biz Luxembourg participates in EU CEF funded eFTI4EU Consortium (2023-2026)

51Biz Luxembourg is delighted to announce its participation in the eFTI4EU consortium (2023-2026), with an applied budget of 28.3 million euros under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program of the European Commission. eFTI4EU is a cooperation of a pan-European consortium of 22 partners, including 9 Member States (plus 4 Observers), united in their vision to pave the way for realising a reference implementation for Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) architecture.

The aim of the project, coordinated by Estonia with cooperation partnership of Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal (and observer partnerships of Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland and Inland Navigation Europe), is to create a unified approach to the operation of eFTI Gates, and to implement a reference architecture for exchanging logistics and transport data, which will be piloted through a series of use cases (both at national and cross-border level) in all the 9 Member States.

eFTI4EU is the first project making the EU Regulation 2020/1056 (eFTI) real. With a duration of 36 months, it addresses the need to create an efficient freight transport and logistics network, thereby enhancing the economic growth and competitiveness of the European Union and improving the functioning of the internal market and the social and economic cohesion of all regions, through the support in adopting digitalised transport documents and smooth paperless administration.

The role of 51Biz Luxembourg as member of the coordinating eFTI Expert Team (EET)

The eFTI4EU consortium is coordinated by a team of 9 eFTI experts including 51Biz Luxembourg.   It is our goal to leverage the experience of the CEF EU funded consortiums FEDeRATED, including the EU-Gate OneAPP for authorities Living Lab 17, and RISCOMEX/EuRIS as an input to a European eFTi reference architecture.  51Biz will continue to have a focus on the digital integration of road transport with air-cargo and inland navigation supply chains.
